Kevin Jean D.C.
Dr. J here!
Why chiropractic? Everyone has a personal thought of what chiropractic is and why they should incorporate it into their lifestyle. I am here to help you find that WHY.
Back pain, yes of course we treat this, but there are so many other concerns that we help you and your body with. From ankles to headaches, to improving your golf swing, to walking your dog, the list goes on and on. I want to assist you in any possible way I can. You can live without pain and discomfort. Let’s get you moving the way your body was intended to move and back to thriving, not just surviving!
I am from a small town in northern Wisconsin, Go Pack Go! I attended the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse to earn a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science where I was surrounded by like-minded, health-oriented people. I spent much of my time being active with hikes, playing basketball, and going golfing!
After earning my bachelor’s degree, I moved to Bloomington, MN to pursue a doctoral degree in chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University. I cannot say enough regarding how much I have enjoyed being here in the Twin Cities. I look forward to helping you, sharing some stories, and seeing smiles!
CYDNEY JEAN D.C.
I’m Dr. Cydney Jean. I grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada, and moved to Minneapolis in 2017 to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. In Canada, I was a national-level gymnast at 12, a North American competitive wall climber at 16, and an international powerlifter with Canadian lifting records at 18. I loved competitive sports, but they didn’t love me.
I had many injuries and found chiropractic treatment was the best solution to my aches and pains. I wanted a career that let me help others and share the relief I felt through treatment. My patients range from athletes, expecting mothers, babies with colic, computer users, and everyone in between. Now living in Minneapolis, I enjoy breweries and dog parks with my husband and dog Henry. In the summer we enjoy exploring the outdoors, camping and hiking. I look forward to meeting you and developing a customized treatment program so you can feel better soon.
I have grown up around the alternative medicine lifestyle, with my mother being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and beating it the natural way alternative medicine has always intrigued me. Stem Cells have come so far in the last decade and it has been so exciting to be able to offer them at our clinic. Helping people has and will always be our #1 goal here.
I have been in the service for close to 10 years now, have loved every second of it, and was able to carry what I learned there into my forever profession. When I am not at the office, I love spending time with my beautiful Labs, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
Chiropractic care helped to change my life. I used to suffer from migraines and headaches all the time. I would get them multiple times a week and my family thought it was normal since my mom had the same problem.
I started getting regular adjustments and went through a correction program to fix an injury I had gotten over ten years prior that I did not realize was influencing me. Now, I only get headaches when I go long periods without adjustments. It’s been amazing to see the changes.
My desire to learn and experience life to the fullest pushes me to try new things. When I go to restaurants with people, I like to ask the server or someone in our group to surprise me and order my food for me. I love to travel and photograph couples, families, and weddings. I am a pencil/charcoal portrait artist as well as a painter. I enjoy breweries, hiking, playing video games with my cat Rex on my lap, and going on adventures with friends. Recently, I got a certificate in Full Stack Web Development and am continuing my education with that, as well as learning UI/UX design. My secret life goal is to be able to start a fire with a bow-drill.
I grew up in a small town in southern Minnesota, recently moved to Minneapolis and am loving everything about the big city, especially that there are constantly new things to do and new people to meet! I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2020 with my bachelor's degree in psychological science and biology.
It was during my undergrad that I began to realize the profound connections between mental, physical, and emotional health and decided I wanted to pursue a career dedicated to improving the overall wellness of patients. I am planning on attending Northwestern Health Sciences University to pursue a doctoral degree in chiropractic and working at The Movement Chiropractic & Wellness is the perfect introduction to the field! Dr. J and Dr. Cydney go out of their way to explain things to me that any future chiropractic student would be grateful to know.
I live in Golden Valley with my boyfriend, who stays busy as the owner of a successful remodeling company. We enjoy hiking, biking, road tripping to National Parks, and touring art and history museums around the country. When I'm not traveling, I enjoy listening to vinyl records, playing cards, cooking, and exploring restaurants and breweries in the area.
