Meet Our Team
Paul Williams D.C. - Owner
I graduated as a doctor of chiropractic in 1997 at Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) in Bloomington, Mn. Since then I have owned 12 clinics and coached more than 50 doctors. I also have actively participated in NWHSU’s community based internship program giving me the opportunity to mentor more than 60 chiropractic students.
My passion is people and health. I love teaching it and living it. In the past 17 years my clinics have treated over a half million people. As a result, I have been fortunate enough to be a part of watching thousands of lives get out of pain and get healthy. I believe a combination of right nutrition, exercise, low stress, and an optimally functioning nervous system is the key to optimum health.
I also believe in having the right balance in life…God, family, health, and work. It’s not exactly easy, but having the right balance keeps me on the continuum of success and happiness. I share this philosophy wherever I go, hoping it will help others along the way.
More than anything, I want to serve people. This is my calling. Whether it’s volunteering at church, helping in the community, or giving late night lectures on nutrition and health I’m looking for ways to give back and help people. It’s always a great day knowing I was able to help someone.
O.K. now a little more information about me personally…
I was born in Salzburg, Austria. I’ve lived in 11 different states. I have a Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. I have four amazing kids whom I spend a majority of my free time with. I enjoy riding my Harley Davidson with my beautiful wife. I travel as often as I am able with my family. My summer activities also include camping and fishing. In winter, I dabble in ice fishing, downhill skiing, and board games by the fire.
Enough about me. Come visit our clinic and let us get to know you.
Jon Toftoy D.C. - Chiropractor
I grew up on a farm just outside Chicago and in 2003 graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL with a bachelor's degree in Economics. After full time travel as a management consultant I was unhappy and unhealthy and made the decision to change both my lifestyle and my career. I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2010. I have since worked as a private doctor for professional athletes and weekend warriors of all ages. I love treating kids and look
Kristine Williams - CFO
I am so fortunate to have found health in my life after being diagnosed with cancer. My story starts when I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma after going into the doctor’s office with back pain. This diagnosis took me down the medical route of chemotherapy, dozens of CAT scans and many drugs. It wasn’t until my weight had dropped to 110lbs, I was constantly sick and weak from the chemotherapy drugs and my hair started falling out that I knew I had to find another way. I knew I was going to die if I continued down this medical paradigm for treating cancer.
Against the oncologist’s advice, against my family and friends’ advice, against the fear of the unknown, I stopped all my cancer treatment. I began my own journey of discovery for health. It was hundreds of hours on the internet, dozens of books on health, and many hours speaking with natural paths, chiropractors, holistic M.D.’s, and dentists, that I journeyed. Now 15 years later, I am still here. The oncologist at Mayo Clinic gave me a year to live. Well, here I am alive, happy, and healthier than ever before.
I am so passionate about health. I found true health to be a balance of right eating, right nutrition, right exercise, right relationships, stress reduction, a nervous system working at 100%, family, and God. This is what I strive to balance in my life and in the clinic.
Since about 2007 I have managed very busy chiropractic offices. I have done just about everything you can imagine except treat. I love what I do. This is my story and I would very much like to meet you.
Danielle Waldock - Office Manger
I’ve been fortunate enough to spend the past 8 years in the healthcare field. Most of my time has been in a chiropractic office. The combination of loving health and people makes my job so easy. I get to help people feel better every day. I grew up with a mom that was all about eating healthy so working in a natural health care environment was an easy transition for me.
What I love about working at The Movement is Dr. Paul does so much more with his patients than most chiropractors. He not only gets his patients out of pain, but he works with his patients on their nutrition and diet. He has helped hundreds of patients lose weight and reverse certain diseases like Type 2 Diabetes and Hypothyroidism. It is truly an amazing experience to work here.
Outside of work, I love taking my dog (Jade) for walks, camping, hiking, fishing, and shooting my bow. I am probably more of a tomboy so spending time outdoors is always my preference. My perfect vacation would include me in the mountains camping along a stream with fishing pole and bow in hand. God and family are very important to me as well.
Jolynn - Office Manager Assistant
I joined The Movement Chiropractic in 2017. I have been in the chiropractic and weight loss industry for the past 12 years. I also was a massage therapist for 30 years. I feel like my smile, sense of humor, and Southern Hospitality are a part of making all of our patients feel welcome. Weight loss and Chiropractic care are not just a job for me, but a life style. I will gladly help you with all your office account questions and concerns regarding your experience at our clinic. Typically, I will be your first point of contact when you come to our clinic. Personally, I love to boat in the summer, snowmobile in the winter, and spend time with family and friends.
Angelique Lerdall - Massage Therapist & Rehab Specialist
I got into the health care field about 5 years ago when I decided to go to school for massage therapy. I originally wanted to go for physical therapy, but thought massage would be a good first step. Little did I know I would end up falling in love with massage therapy and all that it has to offer to patients. I started out only going for the 500 hour certificate for massage therapy, and very quickly changed my schooling to an Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences. I couldn't have made a better choice. I truly believe the extra schooling offered me a more in depth education on how to work with certain diseases/illnesses/syndromes in the massage room.
Outside of work I love spending time with friends, my two dogs, being outside, and doing just about anything active. I played soccer for 12 years (4-16) and was in gymnastics for a while, so exercise and being active has always been a part of my life. I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing(winter and summer), wakeboarding, swimming, sports, and pretty much any other fun activity there is.
Demarcus Long - Massage Therapist
I became a massage therapist to help others from a more holistic perspective. With my passion for giving and helping others, I wanted a career that embodied the things I stand for, while also providing me with what I look for in a career. Massage therapy, to me, is a gift that's personalized to each individual - it meets a variety of needs while providing an atmosphere conducive to good health and wellbeing.
I feel that my vision as a massage therapist is the enrichment of lives through an art form that's been honed with my hands. It's bettering what someone already has and creating a change within one person which goes on to create a domino effect within other people. My vision is to build a better world, one person at a time, through the use of my hands.
Anne Dahlheimer - Massage Therapist
Massage therapy, for me, was a way I could help my friends and family feel better. I was drawn to learning about our bodies and thought that could be helpful in my own life as well. It has become more than that for me. I love meeting new people and now I get to help people feel like better versions of themselves. I graduated from the Minnesota school of business for massage therapy in 2006. Massage truly feels natural to me. I have always been drawn to the medical aspects that massage has to offer people...and relaxing a bit feels wonderful too. I have worked in many settings as a massage therapist but I feel best working along side chiropractors and other therapists who, as a team, really help eachother to help their clients. A smile on your face is what I like to see.
Outside of work I spend most of my time with my 2 children. Other than that I just enjoy being with friends and people who make me smile.
Tyler Sis - Rehab Specialist
My name is Tyler Sis, I was born and raised in Brooklyn Park which is still where I currently live. As I was growing up, I was always involved in sports so taking care of my body was very important. Once I graduated high school, I decided to attend Augsburg College where I was able to continue to play football for 4 years. My senior year I was voted captain of the Augsburg Football team by my teammates which was a very humbling experience. In 2015 I graduated from Augsburg with a degree in exercise science and a minor in business administration. These degrees helped me get my foot in the door with the fitness industry, where I worked as a personal training manager for two years. After learning the ropes of the fitness industry, I decided to take a more clinical approach to further help my patients with their overall health, which led me to The Movement. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports and watching Netflix, but my favorite way to pass time is cooking and trying new recipes.
